A Phillips 66 Lubricants Marketer nearly half a century, Ramos Oil Company, Inc., of West Sacramento, Calif., is known for its exceptional customer service in the Central Valley and Northern California regions. “For a large company, Ramos Oil has a strong family-oriented atmosphere with its employees and customers,” says MSR Keith Westbrook. “Its company slogan placed at the front door stating, ‘through these doors come the nicest people, our customers,’ is a strong testament to its pledge to provide top notch customer service.” Superior customer relations and service are some of the factors which make Ramos Oil standout and earn October’s Marketer of the Month recognition.
The third-generation, family-owned company specializes in offering quality lubricants and fuels to the farming, construction, commercial and industrial lubricant segments. Since its inception in 1951, Ramos Oil has grown tremendously and has expanded its bulk plant business, currently operating nine facilities. Through all the growth and progress, many of its customers have been with Ramos Oil since day one, which shows the company’s commitment to premier customer service. “Our customers are what make us successful, along with our employees who stay true to our mission—taking care of our customers,” shares Maribeth Jannicelli, sales manager at Ramos Oil for more than 20 years. “Everyone—from top down—is committed to being partners and problem solvers for our customers.”
Ramos Oil has had great success with Phillips 66 Lubricants’ premium lubricants, specifically the 76® Lubricants product line, which Jannicelli calls “our get-in-the-door product with fleets.” In addition to 76 Lubricants branded products, the company also sells competitively-priced products from the Kendall® Motor Oil product line and is “trying to get more customers using Liquid Titanium® protection additive,” continues Jannicelli. Ramos Oil is no stranger to Phillips 66 Lubricants’ valuable business sales programs, like FleetFinder™ and FactoryFinder™. “Phillips 66 Lubricants and its business programs are invaluable to our sales team,” shares Jannicelli. “We use a two-pronged approach with Fleet Finder and Factory Finder that has helped us identify and target new business—with results!”
Looking ahead, Ramos Oil hopes to expand its delivery areas, while implementing more improvements to grow and expand in the industry. Beyond the near future, the company is hopeful it will remain a solid company by enhancing its strategic business goals—and so are we.
